Act/Rules on Admission Policy in the state-Reg

The last day the officers of the Pre University Department were searching a law/rule relating to the excess unauthorised admission in the institutions.

Herein I am giving the relevant provisions of the Karnataka Prohibition of Admission of Students to the Un-Recognised and Un-Affiliated Educational Institutions Act, 1992 which regulates excess of the intake of students/admission.

Section 3 of the Act, prohibits the admission of the students to un-recognised and un-affiliated Educational Institutions,

whereas Section 4 forbids the Educational Institutions from admitting students in excess of the intake fixed by the University or the State Government or the Board of School Education, as the case may be.

Section 6 makes the infringement of the provisions of the Act, an offence punishable with imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than one year, but shall not exceed three years besides a fine of Rs. 3,000/-.

In the interest of General Public...............for the kind information of the Director.........
